Mary

Mary's clinical focus spans anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, sexual trauma, parenting, relationship dynamics, LGBTQIA+ identity, acculturation, and life transitions. She firmly believes in the resilience and inherent strengths of every individual.  

Mary employs an integrative therapeutic approach, blending mindfulness-based, compassion-focused, multicultural, and trauma-informed theories. She is a trained Clinical Trauma Professional with specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Mindfulness Stress Reduction Techniques, Internal Family Systems, Gottman Relationship Training, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. 

As a Latinx woman, she weaves her personal experiences and advocacy for diversity into her professional work. She serves as the Diversity Chair on the board of the Central Florida Association for Family and Marriage Therapy (CFAMFT) and works as a contract therapist for the Victim Service Center (VSC). There, she supports individuals who have experienced sexual trauma and leads specialized groups for Latinx women victims of abuse, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) groups, and childhood survivors of sexual assault. Mary is dedicated to honoring the diverse and intersecting identities of her clients, fostering a therapeutic space where healing and growth can flourish
